Every month, your child will travel back in time to experience life on Mackinac Island through the eyes of a child who once could have called it home.
What Your Child Can Look Forward To
Each month, your child will receive a beautifully illustrated letter about a fictional child living during a different chapter of Mackinac Island’s history. From life inside Fort Mackinac to helping at a lighthouse or growing up during the Victorian era, every letter brings history to life in a fun and engaging way.
Along with the letter, we’ll include a variety of themed surprises inspired by that month’s adventure. While every mailing is different, you can expect items such as:
- A Story Letter: A beautifully written letter that lets your child experience Mackinac Island through the eyes of another child from history.
- Hands-On Activities: Simple crafts, recipes, science connections, puzzles, or other activities inspired by the month’s theme.
- Collectible Keepsakes: Fun surprises like postcards, stickers, bookmarks, mini maps, replica artifact cards, or other themed collectibles to help bring each story to life.
Every month’s adventure is different, making each delivery a surprise your child will look forward to opening.

Why We Created This:
As sisters, lifelong Michiganders, and homeschooling moms, we’ve been visiting Mackinac Island since we were little girls.
Even as children, there was something magical about the island. The horses, historic buildings, and peaceful streets made it feel like stepping into another time.
One of our favorite parts of homeschooling is finding ways to make history come alive for our kids. We believe history is so much more than memorizing names and dates—it’s about discovering the people, stories, and everyday moments that shaped the world around us.
The more we learned about Mackinac Island’s incredible past, the more we realized that most children visit without ever hearing the fascinating stories hidden behind its forts, lighthouses, trails, and historic buildings.
We wanted to change that.
That’s why we created the Mackinac Island Kids Mail Club.
Instead of simply reading facts from a history book, children get to experience Mackinac Island through the eyes of kids who might have lived there hundreds of years ago. Each letter invites them into a new adventure while exploring the people, places, and events that shaped the island’s history.
Our hope is that these stories spark curiosity, inspire a love of history, and help children build a deeper connection to Mackinac Island—whether they’re visiting for the first time or have been coming for years.
And of course… what kid doesn’t love receiving something fun in the mailbox?!
How It Works:
Here’s everything you need to know before joining:
- Mail is sent during the first week of each month using a standard USPS stamp (no tracking included).
- Join by the last day of the month to receive the following month’s mailer.
Example: If you subscribe in July, your first mailer will be the August edition, mailed during the first week of August. - You’ll be billed on the same date each month based on the day you originally subscribed.
- Shipping is included in the subscription price.
- This subscription is currently available to U.S. mailing addresses only.

Shipment Dates & Delivery Times
All Mail Club envelopes are mailed from Michigan during the first week of each month. For example, if you join between January 1–31, your first mailer will be February’s edition, shipped during the first week of February.
Please allow up to 14 business days for delivery within the United States.
How can I track my mailer?
To keep Mail Club affordable, all mailers are sent using a standard USPS stamp, so tracking is not available.
When will I be billed?
- For the monthly subscription, you will be billed on the same day each month that you originally subscribed.
- You can review your billing details anytime by visiting your Customer Portal.
What if I need to change my mailing address?
If you need to change your mailing address, please email us at [email protected] with the correct address.
It’s been longer than expected and my mailer hasn’t arrived. What should I do?
Once your mailer has been sent, please allow up to 14 business days for delivery. If your mailer still hasn’t arrived after that timeframe, it may have been delayed or lost in transit.

How can I change my billing info or account details?
You can update your billing information and other account details anytime through your Customer Portal. If you need to change your address, please send us an email to [email protected] so we can make the changes on our end.
Do you ship internationally?
At this time, Mail Club subscriptions are only available to addresses within the United States.
How can I cancel my subscription?
We hate to see you go, but we understand! You can cancel your monthly subscription anytime using the Customer Portal provided through our shop.
Please note that our 6-month and 12-month gift subscriptions are prepaid and non-refundable.
